7 indicted in $260,000 Best Buy theft ring spanning Texas

According to the League City Police Department, seven Houston-area men have been indicted on first-degree felony charges after being linked to a string of coordinated retail thefts targeting Best Buy stores across Texas.

The inquiry started in July 2025, when officers from the department’s Business District Unit reacted to a theft at Best Buy in League City. According to police, a suspect entered the business and removed many display cameras before fleeing in a waiting vehicle.

The next day, Pasadena police intercepted the suspected getaway vehicle and identified one of the suspects as 19-year-old Kobre Dickerson.

As investigators collaborated with Best Buy’s organized retail crime team, they learned that the theft was reportedly linked to over 20 similar instances at shops in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin. Authorities estimate that the total loss exceeds $260,000.

Over the following months, League City investigators partnered with the Texas Department of Public Safety, New Braunfels Police Department, and Houston ISD Police Department to identify six additional suspects.

Those identified were Jaron Pinson, 20; Raynord Norman, 20; Damarion Hawkins, 20; Jewrell Pinson, 23; Jacorris Parrish, 19; and Christopher Gordon, 18.

The case was brought to a Galveston County grand jury, which indicted all seven individuals on first-degree felony charges of engaging in organized criminal activity. Bond was set at $100,000 for each defendant.

League City police said that all seven suspects had been apprehended with the cooperation of numerous law enforcement organizations.
