After 8 years, southern-inspired OTR restaurant to close its doors

CINCINNATI — A southern-inspired small plates restaurant is shutting down its Over-the-Rhine location in Cincinnati.

Louvino announced it has made the difficult decision to close after several years of operation. The restaurant sat at 1142 Main Street, beside Japp’s bar.

“We are incredibly grateful to our guests, team members, and the Over-the-Rhine community for your support, loyalty, and the countless memories shared with us over the years,” the restaurant wrote in a post.

The concept centered on southern-inspired small plates alongside 60 wines available by the glass.

The restaurant built a following for its rotating menu and wine selection, including flights named after Ohio and Kentucky celebrities.

Louvino continues to operate its Douglass Hills, Kentucky location.
