Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux says six people were taken into custody on Wednesday during a gang-related exchange of gunfire.
Gooch Street arrests
On June 10, about 1:20 p.m., Dallas Police responded to an officer assistance call in the 2700 block of Gooch Street in Dallas.
Police determined that the police were summoned to assist in identifying and arresting several suspects following an exchange of gunfire.
There were no reported injuries, and six people were arrested, according to the DPD.
Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said the arrests resulted from an investigation into random gang-related gunshots that began yesterday and continued into today.
Comeaux says the charges filed against the six people arrested are still being determined.
The investigation is underway.
