Pregnant woman and her sister fling hot grease at chicken restaurant worker, stab her in the stomach over wrong order: Cops

A pregnant woman and her sister allegedly caused chaos at a Michigan chicken restaurant after getting the wrong order, stabbing an employee and hurling hot grease at her head.

Brianna Long, 29, and her 26-year-old sister Kierianna Long face charges of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. The incident took place on May 30 at a restaurant on the 17100 block of E. Warren Avenue in Detroit, according to courtroom reports from local NBC affiliate WDIV and The Metro Detroit News.

After the drive-thru handed them the wrong food, the sisters allegedly stormed inside and confronted a 23-year-old employee. They reportedly vaulted the counter and chased the worker through the restaurant, hurling pots and pans at her along the way. One of the sisters then grabbed a pot of hot grease and flung it at the employee, prosecutors reportedly said.

The employee reportedly fought back by throwing a knife at the sisters. Kierianna Long picked up the knife and allegedly drove it into the employee’s stomach. The employee fled to a nearby car and locked herself inside while she called police.

Paramedics rushed her to the hospital, where surgeons performed emergency surgery. The sisters reportedly fled the scene, but police tracked them down and took them into custody.

Defense attorneys for the sisters argue that the employee was actually the aggressor and told the sisters she didn’t “give a f—” about the wrong food order. The employee threw items at the sisters first, the attorneys said.

Brianna Long was nine months pregnant at the time and gave birth just days after her arrest, prosecutors reportedly said.

Court records show she is being held on a $25,000 bond while her sister faces a $50,000 bond. Both women remain in custody and are scheduled to return to court on June 17.
