Wanted murder suspect taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Virginia

A Richmond man wanted in connection with a homicide at a Lynchburg apartment complex has been taken into custody, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

The United States Marshals Service arrested Ke John McGhee, 20, in Richmond on Thursday morning, June 11. McGhee is charged in connection with a deadly shooting on May 18 at the Millwood Apartments in the 6000 block of Old Mill Road.

McGhee has been charged with second-degree murder and using a firearm to commit murder.

The arrest arises from an ongoing homicide investigation, which prompted authorities to request the public’s assistance in identifying McGhee after the incident.
