The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says seven people have been indicted in connection with a large-scale operation known as “Molly Wonka.”
The bureau announced on Friday that a Colorado grand jury had indicted the group on 48 counts of various criminal crimes, including narcotics trafficking, production, and conspiracy. They are accused of running a sophisticated drug trafficking organization between February 2024 and April 2026.
According to the FBI, they controlled an organization centered in Basalt, Colorado, that specialized in delivering massive amounts of narcotics disguised as candy and nasal spray. These items were marketed under brand names including “Renaissance” and “Alpen Glow.” According to the bureau, they inserted substances such as MDMA (ecstasy), Ketamine, MDA (sally), and 2C-B (pink cocaine) into chocolate bars.
Those charged include:
- John Parker Roe – suspected leader of the organization and Genesis Limited Consulting, LLC.
- Erica Collins – suspected distributor for the organization and owner of Lume Lume Lume LLC.
- Timothy Caraboolad – suspected leader in the organization and financial partner in “Aspen Glow” products
- Pola Oginski – suspected head of production
- Morgan Davis – suspected of production and order fulfillment for the organization
- Gregory Shaw – suspected of being an assistant and distributor in the organization
- Frank Akers – suspected of aiding in distribution
According to a CBI release, “The complex, multi-year investigation was spearheaded by CBI with assistance from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Aspen Police, and Basalt Police.” It involved numerous controlled undercover purchases, court-authorized search warrants, and physical surveillance of the Basalt plant. Investigators discovered that John Parker Roe received a significant percentage of his salary (more than 50%) from the group, while Collins used her business, Lume Lume Lume, to conceal monies disguised as consultation or wellness services. Furthermore, evidence showed that the DTO was importing huge quantities of Ketamine into Colorado.”
In addition to narcotics accusations, the indictments contain allegations of money laundering, tax evasion, filing a false return, attempting to influence a public official, and child abuse, largely against Roe and Collins.
