A Quincy-based trust is rejoicing after a large lottery jackpot was won on a ticket purchased in a small Massachusetts hamlet.
The Massachusetts State Lottery reported that Fortunate Sun Trust has won the $15 million big prize in the “Diamond Deluxe” fast ticket game.
The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, elected to collect the prizes as a one-time lump sum payment of $9,750,000 before taxes.
The winning ticket was purchased at Millis Mart, 915 Main St., Millis. Lottery officials said the business will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
According to state lottery officials, one $15 million grand prize from the “Diamond Deluxe” game has yet to be claimed.
