Two teenagers died in a crash involving a stolen car early Thursday morning, according to officials.
Around 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of an accident with injuries at Jefferson Avenue and George Street. According to police, the automobile was taken from Amherst on August 30.
The crash occurred when West Seneca police were pursuing the automobile.
Four persons in the car were brought to ECMC, while one was taken to Golisano Children’s Hospital. Police reported that two of the occupants, a 16-year-old female and an 18-year-old male, died at ECMC some hours later.
The remaining three people are in serious condition.
Buffalo police said they’re collaborating with the New York State Attorney General’s Office to investigate the incident.
