COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police say a teenage girl shot a man following a dispute at a west Columbus apartment complex in late August.
Columbus police officers responded to the 4900 block of Lion Drive around 11:30 p.m. Aug. 30 after receiving a report of a shooting. Officers found Mohamed Musa Mohamed, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers took Mohamed to a hospital in critical condition, and he was pronounced dead at 1:16 a.m.
A man at the scene told 10TV’s Marsha Augustin that he was Mohamed’s father.
“He was my oldest,” he said. “I took him back to Africa to learn about the culture, language and everything, the villagers. He just came back from Africa in May.”
Police identified a 17-year-old as a suspect, and they charged her with unspecified charges.
