A 47-year-old woman was taken into custody on a DWI warrant while working as a bartender in Northeast El Paso, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office for Precinct 6.
Barbara Munoz Rodriguez was detained on an active felony DWI warrant. She was placed into El Paso County Detention Facility on a $10,000 bond.
On Tuesday, September 8, shortly before 2 p.m., a deputy constable was on routine patrol when he saw a car parked outside a pub in the 10100 block of McCombs Avenue.
The deputy constable identified the vehicle as likely belonging to a woman with a DWI warrant. Deputy constables entered the bar and discovered Rodriguez working as a bartender, where she was later detained.
According to the precinct’s office, deputy constables have been working with Crime Stoppers of El Paso to follow up on reports about Rodriguez’s whereabouts. The precinct’s office has been looking for Rodriguez since August.
