Jurea Bristow of Creedmoor experienced a moment of intuition during a pedicure when she sensed a significant win from the Cash 5 drawing on Saturday.
“My right hand started itching and I thought, ‘I’m going to get some money,'” Bristow recalled.
She accessed her NC Lottery Official Mobile App and discovered she had secured the $146,094 jackpot.
“I really won!” she exclaimed.
Bristow purchased her $1 Quick Pick ticket through Online Play. She matched all five white balls, an outcome with odds of 1 in 962,598.
Bristow visited the lottery headquarters on Thursday to collect her prize. Following state and federal tax withholdings, her net winnings amounted to $105,203.
She intends to save her earnings.
