Two men sustained injuries in separate overnight shootings in Philadelphia, which police reported took place within a span of less than 10 minutes.
The Philadelphia Police Department stated that the first shooting happened at approximately 12:21 a.m. on North 55th Street, while the second occurred at 12:30 a.m. on North Cleveland Street. Authorities confirmed that both victims remained in stable condition.
Shooting on North 55th Street
Officers responded to a report of an armed individual and a man shot inside a residence in the 1600 block of North 55th Street at around 12:21 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left arm.
Police transported the victim in a patrol vehicle to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where medical staff listed him in stable condition.
No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
Police described the suspect as a man in his 30s with a dark complexion and a heavy build. He wore black clothing and a blue jacket at the time of the incident.
Man, vehicles struck by gunfire
At approximately 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of North Cleveland Street after receiving reports of an armed individual and juveniles engaged in a large altercation on the highway, with a possible shooting involved.
Upon arrival, officers found two parked vehicles that had sustained gunfire damage.
Shortly thereafter, a 48-year-old man arrived at Temple University Hospital via a private vehicle with a single gunshot wound to his right leg. Medical personnel listed him in stable condition.
No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
