The Alexandria Police Department arrested a Woodbridge teenager in Landmark this month after he was allegedly found with fentanyl, more than seven ounces of marijuana, a loaded firearm, and nearly $1,500 in cash.
The 17-year-old suspect agreed to meet an undercover APD officer on December 11 to sell five fentanyl tablets in a parking lot in the 5700 block of Edsall Road, after advertising the sale on Instagram. His arrest came after an undercover investigation that began in October, according to a recently released search warrant affidavit.
When the suspect arrived at the parking lot around 3:15 p.m., officers conducted a search and recovered a Glock 27 handgun “with a round in the chamber and a magazine having a capacity of 22 rounds,” according to the affidavit, as well as “460 fentanyl pills in varying bags, 200.2 grams of marijuana, 6.2 grams of cocaine, and $880.96.”
Police reportedly discovered $558 in cash and 10.5 grams of marijuana on the front passenger floorboard of the suspect’s vehicle, as well as a digital measuring scale in the side door.
According to the affidavit, officers arrested the suspect for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm while in possession of specific substances to distribute, possession of a firearm by a child, and possession of a high-capacity pistol.
