A 46-year-old Massillon man has been sentenced to 8 to 12 years in jail after allegedly preventing his wife from leaving the couple’s house.
He is also accused of assaulting her.
Laith Judaa pled guilty this week to kidnapping and domestic violence charges.
The incidents took place from April to August of last year.
In August, worried neighbors called Massillon police to report that they hadn’t seen the woman outside in a while.
Officers reported hearing unusual noises from the garage and seeing the defendant remove padlocks from outside doors.
