Police in Luzerne County have apprehended a Philadelphia man in connection with a counterfeit currency investigation dating back to December.
According to Dallas Township Police, officers were originally notified on December 8, 2025, following a report of counterfeit money being used at the Grain & Berry business on Memorial Highway. Investigators analyzed security video and obtained witness statements, resulting in the identification of three suspects.
Police suspect that on December 6, the group passed counterfeit $50 bills with similar serial numbers in different transactions. Authorities believe the suspects arrived together in a dark-colored SUV but went into the business separately to make purchases.

Williams was committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for failing to post $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is pending.
According to authorities, two further individuals have been charged in connection with the case: Mekhi Jones, 20, and Rahmir Foster, 19.
