Man beaten with bat in broad daylight on Park Avenue, 2 wanted

A man was kicked to the ground and beaten with a metal baseball bat in broad daylight on Park Avenue in Manhattan, police said Wednesday, as they sought two suspects in the crime.

The 48-year-old victim was assaulted outside a residential building at 295 Park Ave. South in Gramercy about 11:40 a.m. on April 30, according to police.

It’s unknown whether he was in a quarrel with his attackers at the time. The video shows activity on the sidewalk, with one of the suspects wielding a bat and gesturing at someone off camera.

Police say one suspect kicked the victim to the ground while the other hit him in the head with a bat.

The subject was brought to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition after suffering a head laceration.
