A local mother was taken into custody for allegedly leaving kratom where her underage child could access it.
According to court filings, Journy Whitfield reportedly kept the material in an unsupervised, easily accessible location in an apartment on Queen City Avenue in West Price Hill. The toddler was apparently able to obtain the kratom, resulting in damage. It is unclear how seriously they were harmed.
Whitfield faces one charge of endangering minors.
