A Perrysburg man was sentenced Thursday to 17 to 21 years in prison for sex crimes involving minors.
Brock Abke, 32, pleaded guilty to many offences in May, including pandering obscenity to a minor, grooming, and contributing to a minor’s delinquency.
Prosecutors charged Abke with creating, owning, and transmitting pornographic materials involving minors, as well as recruiting an underage boy for sexual conduct between 2024 and 2025.
A civil lawsuit also claimed that he exploited his position at the Wood County Fair to groom a youngster by giving him beer, e-cigarettes, money, and pornographic photos.
The lawsuit complaint also accused fair leadership of failing to adequately oversee Abke despite prior warning indications about his behaviour.
In addition to the prison sentence, the judge required Abke to register as a Tier II sex offender.
Abke will also face five years of obligatory post-release supervision after his release from prison.
Six further counts against Abke were dropped as part of a plea deal.
