A Maryland woman credited her husband’s research for helping them win $500,000 on a Maryland Lottery scratch-off ticket.
The Dundalk woman informed Maryland Lottery authorities that she and her husband frequently play the lottery together. “We play because we love it,” she explained. “It’s something we can have pleasure doing together. We once won $500. ” That was exciting.”
The woman was on her way to the store in late June when her husband requested a certain scratch-off game. “I had been checking the remaining big prizes on the lottery website, and Gifts of Green still had a few top prizes available,” the husband explained. “So that was the one.”
The woman collected two tickets and scratched them off with her husband at home. “My gaze shifted between the [dollar sign] symbol and the $500,000 beneath it, as well as the game’s rules,” the wife explained. “I could not believe what I was seeing.”
