Police: 14-year-old Boy Stabs Girl At Weis Markets In Lancaster County

A 14-year-old boy was charged with assault after allegedly stabbing a girl at a grocery store and sending her to the hospital.

According to a news release from the Lancaster Township Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Weis Market at 1204 Millersville Pike at 6:40 p.m. on Friday after receiving a complaint of a stabbing.

Police said the boy fled the scene of the stabbing but was apprehended shortly after.

The stabbed girl was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The boy was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, according to the police department.

Additional details about the incident are unknown, and police have not stated whether the stabbing occurred inside or outside the grocery store.
