Three men have been arrested in connection with a stabbing and fight in East Stroudsburg late Wednesday night, according to a police release.
According to an announcement from Stroud Area Regional Police, officials responded to a dispute involving numerous people at 630 Main Street in Stroudsburg Borough around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The report stated that one of the fighters was equipped with a knife.
At the scene, authorities discovered Jonatan Gonzalez, 40, of East Stroudsburg, bleeding from several stab wounds on his arm and back, according to police.
After transporting Gonzalez for treatment, authorities were provided descriptions of two persons allegedly involved in the assault who were observed fleeing the area and later identified as Brendan Wells, 32, of Tannersville, and Christopher Cucinello, 36, of Tobyhanna.
According to the statement, surveillance video discovered during the enquiry showed Cucinello retrieving a knife from his possession, stabbing Gonzalez, and punching a woman spectator in the face after she attempted to interfere.
The surveillance camera also captured a third suspect, who appeared in the video wearing a black T-shirt.
Cucinello was arrested and charged with simple assault and other charges. Wells was also detained and charged with attempted criminal homicide and other counts.
The third person arrested and charged with simple assault and other offences was Gonzalez.
Investigators are still seeking to identify the third suspect in the footage.
