Woman detained in Socorro for DWI, intoxication assaults

A woman was detained in Socorro for allegedly driving drunk and committing drunken assaults with a vehicle, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office Precinct Six.

On Wednesday, September 30, about 8:20 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Sun Park in Socorro, Texas, in search of 24-year-old Elizabeth Saldivar.

Saldivar was wanted for three felony warrants.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with a female outside the house, according to investigators. She stated that Saldivar was inside the house.

Saldivar left the house and was taken into jail without incident. She was transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Saldivar was booked into the downtown jail on two counts of drunken assault with a vehicle inflicting serious bodily injury and driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15.

One of the intoxicated assaults with vehicle warrants carries a $40,000 bond.
