Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the death of a woman discovered at a Richland County rest area Tuesday morning.
Troopers responded to a rest area along U.S. Route 30 in Richland County, located off the eastbound lanes near Mansfield, Ohio, just west of Interstate 71. The woman was found unresponsive at approximately 6:15 a.m., lying on the ground in the parking lot.
Cassandra Johnson, 40, was found next to her vehicle at the rest area and was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
Johnson’s death remains under investigation, though the OSHP does not currently suspect foul play.
