Springfield Trust Wins $4 Million Lottery Prize On Ticket Sold In Northborough

A trust has won the top prize of $4 million after purchasing a winning Massachusetts State Lottery instant ticket in Northborough.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the Backseat Mayor Nominee Trust of Springfield won the “$4,000,000 Extreme Cash” quick ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee Hyman Darling, elected to collect the winnings in the form of a one-time lump-sum payment of $2.6 million before taxes rather than annuities.

Lottery officials stated the winning ticket was purchased at Honey Farms, which is situated at 369 West Main St. in Northborough. Honey Farms, the store that sold the winning ticket, will earn a $10,000 bonus from the Massachusetts State Lottery.
