The investigation of a home led to a major drug seizure by police, according to a social media post from the Northglenn Police Department on Monday afternoon.
“Good police work and proactive patrols recently led to a major drug seizure in Northglenn,” the department stated in its post.
Officers were investigating a home prior to the seizure. Officers witnessed what appeared to be a drug transaction involving a vehicle. Following the alleged drug deal, officers stopped the driver for a traffic violation.
During the stop, police discovered a significant amount of cash on the driver. A K-9 unit was called in, and the dog alerted cops to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Further inquiry revealed packaged narcotics, including:
- Approximately 330 fentanyl pills weighing 330.29 grams
- Approximately 108.76 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 23.01 grams of suspected heroin
- $2,442 in cash
“Each seizure like this means less hazardous drugs entering our neighborhoods. It’s another example of how proactive policing, continuing investigations, and our officers’ efforts contribute to Northglenn’s safety,” the agency stated.
