One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash in South Minneapolis on Wednesday morning.
Around 9:45 a.m., Minneapolis police officers responded to East Lake Street and Fourth Avenue South for a crash involving many vehicles and a building.
Police say one car collided with another before slamming into the building. After colliding with the first vehicle, the second car struck a third, according to officials.
The driver of the first vehicle to collide was pronounced deceased on the scene. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will verify his identity at a later date.
According to law authorities, the driver of the second vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no more injuries reported from anyone in other vehicles or within the building.
Investigators are seeking to identify what caused the crash.
