Social Media Challenge Leads To Several Arrests At Abandoned Main Street America Site In Spring, Texas

Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested several persons after they were discovered trespassing at the abandoned Main Street America property.

According to the constable’s office, the arrests took place on March 30, 2026, in the 18700 block of North Freeway in Spring, Texas.

According to investigators, deputies were dispatched to the property after receiving allegations of six strange individuals.

When deputies attempted to make contact, one suspect fled but was immediately apprehended. The suspect, a 16-year-old, allegedly resisted arrest and was found with a loaded firearm, according to the constable’s office.

Investigators identified the remaining suspects as Ashley Escobar, Yorleni Escobar, Maria Ramirez, and Joaquin Hargraves, as well as a 15-year-old guy.

Deputies said the group told investigators they went to the location after seeing it mentioned in a social media challenge and wanted to wander around the property.

Authorities noticed that the location has numerous “No Trespassing” signs.

Escobar, Ramirez, and Hargraves were all booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with felony trespass. The constable’s office stated that their bail was set at $100 each out of County Court 1.

The two adolescents were taken to the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with criminal trespass. Investigators said the 16-year-old was also charged with resisting arrest and unauthorized carrying of a firearm.

“This is a reminder to our community: trespassing on this property is illegal and will result in arrest,” Herman stated. “These social media challenges are not innocent phenomena; they can result in severe legal consequences. Parents, please talk to your kids about making sensible and safe decisions.”
