A two-week citywide drug enforcement operation in Columbia resulted in nine arrests, dozens of warrants, and the seizure of narcotics, firearms, and cash, according to police.
The Organized Crime and Narcotics Unit of the Columbia Police Department spearheaded the operation, collaborating with local, state, and federal partners.
The strategy comprised a buy-bust initiative that was carried out over different regions of the city, including several blocks and significant crossroads.
During the operation, police said they arrested nine people and secured and served 32 arrest warrants.
Authorities seized crack cocaine, powder cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and hash oil, as well as six firearms, including a fully automatic weapon and a stolen firearm.
Investigators reportedly seized more than $2,300, “with additional funds pending a final count,” as well as other pieces of jewelry believed to be associated with illegal activities.

Police said each person is facing a variety of drug-related offenses, including manufacturing, distribution, and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, with some accusations including activities near schools.
Officials confirmed the charges based on arrest papers and warrant records collected during the operation.
Police claimed the operation is part of a larger plan to disrupt illegal drug markets, reduce violent crime, and promote public safety.
