Two people were apprehended following separate, multi-agency drug busts in Scott County Wednesday.
On May 27, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed a search warrant at Alvester Tucker’s residence on East Oak Street in Forest, Mississippi.
According to investigators, the goods confiscated inside Tucker’s residence included about 28 grams of methamphetamine, narcotics distribution scales, several guns, two automobiles, and drugs sales currency.
Tucker is currently charged with possession of methamphetamine.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Lake Police Department, conducted a second, separate search warrant at Rodney Mitchell’s residence on Thornton Street in Lake, Mississippi.
Law enforcement seized around 5 grams of methamphetamine,.5 grams of crack cocaine, and other things used to distribute illegal narcotics from Mitchell’s home, according to officials.
Mitchell was charged with possession of methamphetamine, sale of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and felon in possession of a handgun.
“These enforcement actions are the result of a joint investigation between the aforementioned agencies, highlighting the strong partnership between the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics,” officials stated in a statement.
