Miami woman taken into custody in violent kidnapping and robbery, separate burglary, cops say

A Miami woman taken into custody this month for allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint during a violent kidnapping is also charged in a separate burglary and assault case involving her ex-boyfriend from 2024, according to court records.

Kihmanii McKenziee, 27, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with armed robbery, kidnapping with aggravated battery, burglary with assault or battery, and burglary of an occupied structure, according to Miami-Dade jail records.

The alleged kidnapping and robbery occurred on May 15, when the victim informed police that he met McKenziee and another person at Haulover Beach and they went to the second person’s Airbnb on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, according to the arrest report.

According to the complaint, the victim sought to engage in sexual activity with McKenziee, but she became agitated and pulled a revolver from her purse, pointing it at him and demanding money. You ruined my night when I could have been making money. According to the report, McKenziee threatened to shoot him in the face if he didn’t pay him $200 straight away.

He refused to comply, then McKenziee hit him repeatedly on the head and torso, and fearing for his life, he paid her $100, according to the complaint.

McKenzie continued to hold the gun at him, telling him to “drive me home right now and give me $200 or I’m going to shoot you,” and then held him at gunpoint while he drove until they reached Interstate 95 heading north, according to the report.

McKenziee continued to demand money, but the victim resisted, so she slapped him in the head with the pistol, resulting in a laceration, according to the report.

McKenziee jumped out of the car and ran on foot as the victim pulled over on the side of Interstate 95.

On Tuesday, she was pulled over, and a pistol was discovered in her purse, according to the report.

She was brought into custody and put into jail.

The other accusations arise from an incident that occurred on June 9, 2024, at an apartment on Northeast 111th Street, according to the arrest report.

Victims include her ex-boyfriend and his current live-in girlfriend.

According to the report, McKenzie knocked on the door of her ex-boyfriend’s and his new live-in girlfriend’s residence without being invited.

When it was unlocked, she pushed her way inside, sparking a verbal altercation with the victims, who repeatedly asked her to leave, according to the report.

The ex-boyfriend loaded himself with a rifle before McKenziee demanded that they get her an Uber, which they accepted.

McKenziee grabbed the current girlfriend’s wrist while standing on the front porch, and the ex-boyfriend shot a rifle cartridge toward the ground to persuade her to leave, according to the report.

McKenziee escaped before police came, and the victims were unharmed.

McKenziee was ordered jailed without bond and barred from seeing the alleged victims at her Wednesday court appearance.
