A Cincinnati woman is facing multiple animal cruelty charges after officials allegedly discovered dead dogs and several others living in unsafe conditions at her home.
Angela Dodson was arrested on June 6 and charged with four counts of prohibited companion animals and one crime of animal cruelty, according to Hamilton County Municipal Court records.
Investigators say two dogs in Dodson’s care were discovered dead inside locked crates. According to court filings, one of the animals did not have access to food or water.
Authorities also reported discovering numerous living dogs in bad condition.
According to court documents, one dog had a damaged paw and was living in what investigators regarded as hazardous conditions. Another person was allegedly kept to a room with no food or drink.
A third dog was apparently discovered wedged between a window and a piece of plywood, according to the lawsuit.
The matter is still proceeding in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
