A woman was arrested for allegedly stealing over $20,000 in an elder exploitation case and is now facing additional charges, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office Precinct Three.
Authorities said on Wednesday, September 9, that they received information on Monica Morales Cabral, 47, who was wanted on multiple felony charges.
The warrants included accusations for exploitation of an old or disabled individual, theft between $2,500 and $30,000, and misapplication of fiduciary property between $2,500 and $30,000, according to the constable’s office.
During an investigation, the Sergeant obtained information that led them to Morales Cabral’s apartment in the 1400 block of Dale Douglas in East El Paso.
Authorities reported taking her into custody without incident.
The El Paso Police Department conducted the underlying investigation.
